“Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.” What are your feelings about this quote? We can often see our end goal, dream or vision, which is that ideal place that we would like to have or feel. Our journey to getting to this place or end destination is the road that we will travel, and on this path, we will pass many pebbles, problems or distractions.
Mapping out your destination, is like breaking your goal up into small manageable steps. Each step along the way may have its difficulties, but as you conquer them, you gain new skills, confidence and persistence. When people set goals to climb to the top of the mountain, it is not only about reaching the top. It is also the experience of the climb on the way and the preparation for the climb. Sometimes its the small things that can cause us the most frustration. Analyse what your small pebbles are that cause you to stumble and write them down. Each day, pick one, and focus on trying to fix or clear that fault or irritation. I CHEER YOU ON IN YOUR JOURNEY TO YOUR MOUNTAIN OF JOY.
